The Second District Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is made up of high school students from within the Second Supervisorial District. The Youth Council is a service-oriented organization in which council members volunteer at community events, nonprofits, and park cleanups. The Second District YAC provides recommendations to Supervisor Karen Spiegel and her staff on youth-related issues. Therefore, council members are knowledgeable about the most prevalent issues facing Riverside County youth. Alongside community service and advising local elected officials, the District 2 Youth Advisory Council develops students’ professional skills and provides networking opportunities. Allowing them to serve their community while building social skills they can use in their future endeavors.
