Morongo Band of Mission Indians Unveils New Fire Station to Strengthen Regional Safety

Supervisor Spiegel attended the grand opening and push-in ceremony for the new Morongo Fire Station No. 1, a milestone that reflects the Morongo Band of Mission Indians’ ongoing investment in public safety across the San Gorgonio Pass.
The new 15,000-square-foot facility is equipped with advanced emergency response technology, dual apparatus bays, expanded living quarters, and a sophisticated earthquake detection system. Designed for long-term service, the station also incorporates sustainable features and room for future expansion to meet growing regional needs.
The dedication ceremony underscored the importance of collaboration, foresight, and a shared commitment to protecting the community. The station will serve as a vital asset to both the reservation and surrounding communities for years to come.
