The Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District is offering a free workshop, Healthy Soils for Happy Plants, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Participants will learn how healthy soil practices can improve gardens or farms while also helping combat climate change.

The workshop will be led by Scott Berndt, a Riverside resident with experience in sustainable farming and healthy soils practices. Scott has worked with farmers on grant writing and soil improvement techniques and currently manages a USDA Food Business Grant to support the local food system.
