Celebrate the vibrant return of spring at the second annual Spring Fling event, happening Saturday, May 3, at Louis Robidoux Parkland and Pecan Grove (LRPPG)! This free, family-friendly community event is a joyful tribute to nature's renewal and highlights the exciting progress made at LRPPG over the past year.

Throughout the event, guests will be able to explore a range of site features. Highlights include the colorful California Biodiversity Garden in full bloom, the Monarch Restoration Garden made possible by support from the Wildlife Conservation Board, and the unique "Air Bee-N-Bee Hotel," which provides critical support to local pollinators. Visitors can also experience the new Bird Observation Area, featuring a specially constructed bird blind made from upcycled materials, and participate in an educational hike along the streamside Sunnyslope Trail.

The Spring Fling is also set to offer a series of activities for all ages. Kids and families will find plenty of things to do, from butterfly-themed crafts to a community bingo game hosted by local organizations sharing valuable environmental information. The Master Food Preservers will host a walk-through workshop during the event where visitors can learn how to make delicious jam using fresh, local ingredients. This is a fun and practical way to enjoy the complimentary fruit offered throughout the day! Additional refreshments and treats will also be provided for all attendees to enjoy.

This event is an excellent chance for neighbors to reconnect with nature, enjoy a relaxing afternoon outdoors, and discover local conservation efforts happening right in their own community.

Spring Fling takes place Saturday, May 3, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Louis Robidoux Parkland and Pecan Grove, located at 5370 Riverview Drive, Jurupa Valley, CA 92509. Admission is free!
