Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Santa Ana River Bottom Maintenance Facility

Supervisor Spiegel joined RivCoParks for the Santa Ana River Bottom (SARB) Maintenance Facility's groundbreaking ceremony, an ARPA-funded project to address community challenges and promote environmental conservation.

This new facility will serve as the operational hub for RivCoParks’ SARB Unit and its partners, showcasing their dedication to enhancing public safety, preserving critical habitats, and supporting vulnerable residents.

The event also celebrated the California Trails and Greenways Award, which was presented to the SARB Unit and the Riverside Auto-Theft Interdiction Detail (RAID) task force, recognizing their outstanding collaboration and commitment to the community.

This project marks a significant step forward for the Santa Ana River Bottom, fostering a safer and healthier environment for residents and wildlife.
