New Hamner Avenue Bridge Connects Norco and Eastvale, Dedicated to Former Mayor Berwin Hanna

August 28, 2024

The new Hamner Avenue Bridge connecting Norco and Eastvale is officially open! Supervisor Spiegel had the honor of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for this crucial six-lane bridge, which replaces the old two-lane structure and offers a vital alternative route to the I-15, significantly improving traffic flow in the region. The event highlighted the significant federal funding that made this project a reality. This funding, along with the dedication of local and regional partners, enabled the creation of a bridge that will serve the community for years to come. It was also a privilege for Supervisor Spiegel to congratulate Berwin Hanna, the former Mayor of Norco, on having the bridge dedicated in his name—a well-deserved honor for a true Norco legend.

The Supervisor extends gratitude to everyone involved in bringing this project to fruition, including the dedicated teams in Eastvale and Norco, as well as the invaluable regional partners who secured over $13 million in TUMF funding. This project now benefits thousands of commuters daily, and it's a wonderful example of what we can achieve when we work together!
