Riverside Community Unites for 31st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Walk-A-Thon

January 21, 2026

Community members gathered in Riverside for the 31st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Walk-A-Thon, beginning at the Stratton Community Center in Bordwell Park and concluding at the Riverside Public Library in recognition of Dr. King’s legacy.

During the event, remarks highlighted this year’s theme, “Marching Toward the Dream,” and emphasized the continued importance of service, unity, and civic responsibility in strengthening local communities.

The long-standing Walk-A-Thon brings residents together while supporting meaningful local efforts. Proceeds from the event benefit the Riverside African American Historical Society, helping preserve and share the community’s history for future generations.
