Recycling took on new life through student artwork as creativity and environmental responsibility shared the spotlight in Temescal Valley. Supervisor Spiegel was pleased to join Waste Management for their Annual Recycle Right Calendar Art Awards Contest, recognizing 13 students from schools across Temescal Valley for artwork that highlighted the importance of recycling and reusing.

The program celebrates more than artistic talent. It gives students a platform to share meaningful messages about environmental responsibility and helps reinforce habits that benefit the community long term.
