Board of Supervisors recognized Fire Chief Bill Weiser at a recent meeting as he begins his retirement following more than forty years of public service. Chief Weiser led Riverside County Fire, which partners with CAL FIRE to provide fire protection services to more than 2.3 million residents across one of California’s largest and most complex service areas.

Throughout his tenure, Chief Weiser was widely respected for his leadership and contributions to public safety, including modernizing fire operations, strengthening wildfire mitigation efforts, upgrading equipment, and enhancing interagency coordination. His work has had a lasting impact on fire protection and emergency response throughout Riverside County.
