The District 2 team joined the Lake Elsinore community for this year’s Día de los Muertos celebration in Historic Downtown Main Street, which served as a powerful reminder of how tradition, art, and culture bring people together across generations. The event featured vibrant altars, music and dance performances, historic exhibits, and a beautiful community procession.

Students from the District 2 Youth Advisory Council participated alongside the team, reflecting on the meaning of the day and learning how cultural celebrations strengthen the fabric of the community. Their engagement with the event and the local organizations that made it possible was a highlight of the evening.

The District 2 team expressed gratitude to the City of Lake Elsinore, Studio 395, and all partners who created a space for families to honor loved ones and celebrate life. The event was an incredible turnout and a powerful reminder of what community connection looks like in District 2.
