Temescal Valley MAC Meeting Honors Jannlee Watson's Legacy While Advancing Animal Services, Justice, and Modernization Initiatives

August 16, 2024

Earlier this week, the Temescal Valley Municipal Advisory Committee began solemnly commemorating the life of Jannlee Watson, a valued member of our community. Her memory continues to inspire us as we work together to better the Second District.

Supervisor Spiegel had the opportunity to speak about the new animal services initiatives the Second District office has proudly funded. These initiatives aim to significantly improve the lives of our furry friends across the district and bring hope and optimism for a brighter future for our animal companions.

Assistant District Attorney Michael Cabral provided insights into the vital work being done by the DA’s office, highlighting the determined commitment of the different units to ensuring justice for our residents.

Also joined by Treasurer-Tax Collector Mathew Jennings and Chief Deputy Treasurer-Tax Collector Adelina Abril, they addressed important financial matters affecting our community.

Lastly, Principal Planner Richard Marshalian shared an update on the County’s new Digital Sign Ordinance, a step forward in modernizing our infrastructure and keeping our communities informed.

Supervisor Spiegel would like to thank everyone who attended and participated in this productive meeting.
