Supervisor Spiegel had the honor of attending and volunteering at the Settlement House Fundraiser Empty Bowl Dinner event. At the end of the evening, everyone was given an empty bowl to take home as a poignant reminder that hunger exists in our community. The empty bowls remind us of those who go to bed hungry with an "empty bowl."
