September as National Preparedness Month

Preparedness starts with each of us.
During yesterday's Board meeting, my colleagues and I joined the Emergency Management Department in recognizing September as National Preparedness Month. With our region facing the potential for wildfires, earthquakes, floods, and other emergencies, taking a few simple steps now can make a critical difference when disaster strikes.
Supervisor Spiegel's encourages every resident to learn about local hazards, create or update a family emergency plan, assemble an emergency kit, and register for Alert RivCo to receive important emergency instructions
