At the Board of Supervisors meeting on April 18, the Second District recognized Laurie Gwyn, Chair of the Corona-Norco Branch of Assistance League of Riverside, as Volunteer of the Year. We also recognized The Chinese American Volunteer Association, a student-run nonprofit, as Volunteer Organization of the Year. I am beyond proud of the number of nominations we received from the many amazing people who volunteered their time to the communities within the Second District. I want to thank each of you for taking the time to recognize the many selfless people and organizations within our district.
