The Second District Recognizes the Volunteer and Volunteer Organization of the Year

At the Board of Supervisors meeting on April 18, the Second District recognized Laurie Gwyn, Chair of the Corona-Norco Branch of Assistance League of Riverside, as Volunteer of the Year. Laurie led the group toward establishing the Corona-Norco Branch, primarily focusing on helping meet the needs of local children and youth. Learn more...

We also recognized The Chinese American Volunteer Association, a student-run nonprofit, as Volunteer Organization of the Year. This nonprofit aims to provide community service and internship opportunities for middle and high school students and help them learn how to serve their community with their hearts. Learn more...

I am beyond proud of the number of nominations we received from the many amazing people who volunteered their time to the communities within the Second District. I want to thank each of you for taking the time to recognize the many selfless people and organizations within our district.
