Riverside County’s Inaugural Child Abuse Prevention Summit
April 30, 2026
Protecting children and strengthening families starts with prevention, partnership, and a shared commitment to doing better.
Supervisor Spiegel had the opportunity to join Riverside County’s Inaugural Child Abuse Prevention Summit, State of the Child, alongside leaders, advocates, and service providers from across our region. As Chair of the Board of Supervisors, she was pleased to share a few words during the event, highlighting the importance of working together to build systems of care that support children and families before challenges become crises.
This summit brought together voices from across disciplines to reflect on where we are, where we need to go, and how we can continue creating safe, nurturing environments for every child in Riverside County. Through collaboration and innovation, we can strengthen the support systems that help families thrive and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Thank you to the Office of Child Abuse Prevention, our County departments, and all community partners for leading this important conversation and for your continued dedication to the well-being of our children.
