Riverside County Honors Children Lost to Abuse with Memorial Flag Ceremony

In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Riverside County joined the Family Service Association and HOPE Collaborative for a solemn and impactful flag-raising ceremony in front of the Riverside County Administrative Center.

The event commemorated the lives of children lost to violence, abuse, and neglect through the raising of the Children’s Memorial Flag, a powerful symbol of remembrance and a call to action.

Community leaders, nonprofit partners, first responders, and advocates came together to reaffirm their shared commitment to protecting children and supporting vulnerable families. The ceremony served as a reminder that every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment to grow and thrive.
