Hidden Valley Nature Center Reopens with Major Modernization
February 11, 2026
Supervisor Spiegel joined the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District to celebrate the ribbon-cutting and reopening of the Hidden Valley Nature Center following a $4.3 million modernization project. The upgrades mark a significant investment in making one of Riverside County’s key outdoor education sites more accessible and more sustainable for the long term.
The improvements focus on usability and inclusion. Visitors will now find ADA-compliant restrooms and parking, upgraded walking paths, a renovated amphitheater, an outdoor classroom, and refreshed landscaping designed to enhance both learning and recreation. The project ensures that families, students, and community groups can experience the space more comfortably and safely.
Funded through ARPA and the California Department of Parks and Recreation 2002 Resources Bond Act, the renovation strengthens environmental education and outdoor access across Riverside County.
