A Day Filled with Resiliency and Healing

November 13, 2025

On September 25, Supervisor Spiegel's office joined RUHS Behavioral Health at Fairmount Park for Recovery Happens 2025, a day centered on healing, resilience, and the people who made recovery possible in Riverside County.
Two leaders were recognized for their work, which had shaped the county’s recovery community for decades. Ms. Deborah Johnson, RUHS Behavioral Health Director of Innovation and Integration, was honored with a Certificate of Recognition for her decades of service and her steady commitment to strengthening treatment and recovery resources.
Lynn Kienzle was also celebrated as a recipient of the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award and a Certificate of Recognition. With 36 years of service as Executive Director of VARP Inc., she helped countless individuals rebuild their lives and move forward with hope.
The event expressed gratitude to everyone who continued to champion recovery and support the families and individuals who relied on these essential services.
