The Riverside County Board of Supervisors recognized September as National Preparedness Month. The 2025 theme, “Resilience Starts at Home,” emphasizes that readiness for emergencies begins with each of us taking practical steps to protect our families and neighborhoods.

From creating an emergency kit and signing up for local alerts to establishing a family communication plan, these simple actions strengthen our community’s ability to respond to and recover from disasters.
