Board of Supervisors Recognizes October as National Pedestrian Safety Month

During one of the October Board meetings, the Board of Supervisors recognized October as National Pedestrian Safety Month. The Board proudly presented a Proclamation to the dedicated Dianne Ward, President of Charlie's Cause, a commendable nonprofit organization relentlessly working to amplify awareness of pedestrian & bicycle safety and end distracted driving. 

Our streets are shared spaces, and it's on each of us to ensure everyone is safe. This month, and every month, we are reminded of our collective responsibility. As drivers, let's make sure to:

•  Maintain safe speeds
•  Practice cautious and safe driving behaviors
•  Strictly adhere to mobile device use laws when behind the wheel
