At the November 6 Board of Supervisors meeting, Supervisor Spiegel and her colleagues recognized Retired Teachers Week and presented a Proclamation to the California Retired Teachers Association. Retired Teachers Week is observed from November 2 to November 8 each year to celebrate the educators who dedicated their careers to shaping communities and who continue to make a difference long after they leave the classroom.
The California Retired Teachers Association and partner organizations use this week to highlight the achievements of retired educators, share their stories, and provide resources that support their continued involvement in community life. Many retired teachers remain active through mentoring, volunteering, and advocacy, and their impact is felt across generations.
Riverside County expresses gratitude for the countless retired educators who continue to invest their time, talent, and experience into local schools and neighborhoods. Their contributions never stop, and the county is stronger because of them.
