Board of Supervisors Proclaims January as Human Trafficking Prevention Month

During a Board of Supervisors meeting, county leaders proclaimed January as Human Trafficking Prevention Month. They recognized Soroptimist International of Corona and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force Division for their dedicated efforts to protect and support the community.

The recognition highlighted the importance of awareness, education, and strong partnerships in preventing human trafficking and assisting victims. Soroptimist International of Corona was acknowledged for empowering women and girls through prevention-focused programs. At the same time, the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force was recognized for leading countywide efforts to combat trafficking and provide critical services to survivors.
