Autism Awareness Month

As Chair of the Board, Supervisor Spiegel joined my colleagues in recognizing April and the important observances it marks for our communities.
Autism Awareness Month reminds us of the importance of understanding, acceptance, and inclusion. It is a time to recognize the strengths and contributions of individuals on the autism spectrum and to continue working toward communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
National Fair Housing Month highlights the ongoing responsibility we share to ensure equal access to safe, affordable housing. It serves as a reminder that where someone lives should never be determined by discrimination, and that fairness and opportunity must remain at the center of our housing efforts.
We also recognized National Public Health Week, which underscores the vital role public health professionals play in protecting our communities. From disease prevention and health education to emergency response, their work is foundational to the safety and well-being of residents across Riverside County.
In addition, we recognized Donate Life Month, in partnership with OneLegacy, to raise awareness of the life-saving impact of organ, eye, and tissue donation. It is an opportunity to honor donors and their families, while encouraging others to consider giving the gift of life.
Together, these observances reflect our shared commitment to compassion, equity, and the health and well-being of all residents across Riverside County.
