Don't miss this exciting workshop on the Luna UCR avocado. Named one of Time Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2023, this new avocado variety is currently available only to commercial growers. The workshop will explore the potential for year-round avocado availability in the regional market and will include a special taste-testing session.

Leading the workshop is Eric Focht, co-inventor of the Luna avocado alongside Dr. Mary Lu Arpaia and a team at UC Riverside. With more than 25 years of experience in fieldwork, upkeep, and evaluating avocado varieties, Eric recently completed his PhD and remains dedicated to advancing avocado fruit research.

Attendees are also invited to participate in the "Ask a Master Gardener" session, held on the first Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where gardening experts will be available to answer questions and provide guidance.
