Galentine’s Dinner Supports Future Leaders Through Girls State
March 1, 2026
Supervisor Spiegel joined the Woman’s Auxiliary for their Galentine’s Dinner at American Legion Post 742 in Corona, where friends gathered for food, music, and community in support of Girls State.
Girls State is a nationwide leadership and civics program that gives high school students firsthand experience in how government functions. Participants campaign for office, draft legislation, debate public policy, and gain a deeper understanding of civic responsibility and public service.
Programs like Girls State play an important role in preparing young women for future leadership by building confidence, strengthening critical thinking skills, and fostering an appreciation for the democratic process.
