Home Gardens Library Reopens with Expanded Learning Spaces for the Community

January 27, 2026

Supervisor Spiegel, community members, and local leaders gathered for the Grand Re-Opening of the Home Gardens Library, celebrating a new chapter for this vital neighborhood resource dedicated to learning, creativity, and connection.

Initially opened in 2006 and expanded in 2009, the library has now been transformed to better serve residents of all ages. Renovations include a dedicated children’s storytime room, an opportunity room for maker-space activities, expanded study rooms, new furniture and finishes, new computers, an expanded children’s collection, and a new community playground.

The re-opening represents a significant investment in opportunity for families and individuals throughout the Home Gardens community. The upgraded facility provides welcoming spaces that support education, innovation, and community gathering.
